Triple Tigers Slot Review
Triple Tigers is a three reel, one payline slot game brought to you by developers Pragmatic Play. The game has a distinct Oriental theme and features fitting symbols and images. The three highest value symbols are comprised of different coloured tiger heads; gold, purple and green in descending order of value. There are two more additional high-value symbols in the game, a red eight and a golden tiger paw. The low-value symbols are made up of BAR symbols. There are no bonus features to be found in this game.
Nowadays, developers seem to overwhelm the average slot player with huge, convoluted features with ridiculous names like ‘Mega Cluster Reels’. It seems like there is a race to see who can get the biggest, flashiest feature out there, neglecting the slot fundamentals that make the classics so great. Developers Pragmatic Play have had enough of this it seems, delivering an old school slot experience that is still as fun and engaging as even the most contemporary slot. One of the most radical things this game does is forgo the notion of bonus features entirely. So, instead of that, we’re going to take an extra close look at its paytable, visual design and the overall feel of the game.
Design and Layout
Visuals
While Triple Tigers is unique in terms of its gameplay, its theme is something we’ve seen done many times before in slot games. That said, the game presents this style in a crisp, well-polished way. The first thing to note is how colourful the game’s user interface is. The background is covered in a deep, royal red with the reels and text on them contrasting in a bright yellow. Even the symbols have a dazzling array of colours on show, with purples and greens that pop out from the backdrop. It’s as diverse a pallet we’ve seen in a slot game and keeps the spins feeling fresh.
Paytable
This being a slot with no bonus features, the symbols take up centre stage, and they don't disappoint. The name of the slot isn't just representative of the theme, it also highlights a vital aspect of the game itself. The ‘Triple Tigers' symbolise the trio of tiger symbols and the payouts they offer. The most valuable symbol in the game is the Gold Tiger, which will pay a whopping 500x your bet if you land three of them together on a single payline. After that comes the purple tiger, which will grant a 300x your stake payout for landing three in a winning combination. The Jade Tiger is the lowest paying of the tiger symbols, but still offers a handy 200x your bet payout.
There are two other symbols that can also award a potentially decent payout. These are the red eight and the Gold Tiger Paw, which will pay 100x or 80x your stake respectively. True to its classically inspired roots, the game features a nostalgic set of symbols as the low paying icons; the BARs. These will again payout if you land them on the sole payline and can be quite rewarding. Amongst these, the triple BAR is the best paying, offering a cool 50x your bet if you land three of them. The double and single BAR will payout 30x and 20x respectively. If you land a mixture of these lower paying symbols, you will receive a 10x your bet payout.
