Both the high and low-value symbols are styled after this, with the former represented by four dragons guarding gems, coloured gold, red, green, and purple. Megaways games are hugely popular, but they have yet to replace slots altogether, so we’ll do a quick rundown of how they work. Essentially, this system replaces fixed paylines, by switching up the number of symbols on each spin. The number of available ways to win will fluctuate dependant on how many are on show, but the maximum is a huge 117,649, so this mechanic gives you plenty of scope to land some big wins.
Cascading Reels
This comes as part of the Megaways system, but it is effectively a standalone bonus. Whenever you land a winning combination, the symbols involved will be removed from play and replaced by randomly generated new ones, which can then result in new wins. This is called a ‘reaction’ and these will continue to happen as long as successful combinations are formed. So, you could end up with a few wins in a row from a single spin.
Fire Blast
This is a randomly triggered bonus that will see an animated dragon appear on the reels. The creature will breathe fire onto the reels, causing up to three of them to go up in flames. After this, up to four wilds will be added to the affected reels, but if only two of them were ignited. Plus, two scatters can land instead, to help trigger the bonus.
Dragon’s Egg Multiplier
This is a multiplier that will trigger when a Cascading Reels reaction takes place. Every time one occurs, the multiplier will increase by one and this can re-triggered up to a 50x limit, though it will end once you stop generating wins. On top of this, the Dragon’s Eye Boost can also trigger, which will add another 10x to the multiplier.
Free Spins
To trigger this bonus, you’ll have to land the scatter symbol at least three times on the reels. You will then be taken to a new screen with three dragons, before being prompted to pick one, which will decide how many spins you’ll receive. The multiplier is in effect for this round and whatever value it was on will carry over. Cascade reactions will continue to increase this by 1x, but it will never reset, and the final multiplier will then remain when you go back to the base game. Additionally, the Dragons Kindness, which will add an extra scatter to trigger the spins, can randomly activate at any time.
