7’s To Burn Slot Review
7’s To Burn is a three reel, 5 payline made by developers Barcrest. The game is a throwback to the era of classic fruit machines and contains a number of symbols that players of yesteryear will probably recognise. These include double bars, bells, stars, watermelons, plums, lemons, oranges and cherries. The red sevens and burning sevens are the two most valuable symbols in the game, with the burning ones rewarding a huge 250x your stake if you land three on an active payline. There is one bonus feature in the game known as the Hi Roller Spins, and this activates the burning sevens symbol as a wild.
Feeling nostalgic for simpler times? When slot games were easy to understand, and complex buzzwords like ‘cluster pay' and ‘expanding mega wilds' weren't a thing. Well, if you're eager for a slot that doesn't overwhelm you with an onslaught of bonuses and strange symbols, 7's To Burn might just be what you're looking for. It's a vintage game, from it’s visual design to the lack of bonuses, and seeks to deliver classic, simple gaming experience. That said, it’s not entirely features free.
In order to land a win in the game, you will have to match three of the same symbol. Any trio of matched symbols that you land will also award an additional multiplier. If you manage a trio of cherries, lemons, oranges or plums, you will be granted an 8x multiplier. Landing double bars or watermelons will give a 20x multiplier to the stake and bells and stars will give out a hefty 40x. The two different sevens symbols are the ones to aim for though, as the normal variety will apply a tasty 100x multiplier and the burning ones offer a massive 250x. The symbols can, therefore, be incredibly generous when you land them matched.
Layout and Design
7's To Burn aims to recreate the old school fruit machines of years gone by and every aspect of the design screams this. We've already talked about how the symbols are meant to mirror the recognised icons of those slot machines, but everything from the backdrop to the text feels it was taken from a different decade. It's a very minimalistic design compared to most other modern slots. There are no flashy animations or eye-popping effects, simply the reels and symbols. It's not that there's a lack of anything, every graphical aspect functions exactly as it should, it just does away with many of the superficial elements of the contemporary gaming.
Bonus Features
Hi Roller Spins
Instead of any triggered bonuses, 7’s to bur includes a bonus mode that can be activated by the player wagering more. If you choose to wager the optional extra bet, you will be awarded five extra spins with an added bonus. The burning sevens will function as wilds for all symbols in this mode as opposed to just the two different sevens. Additionally, symbol combo payouts are halved when using Hi Roller Spins.
