Canadian players to receive online gambling hub by 2012
The wonderful world of online casino play will be open to residents of the Canadian province of Ontario within two years after local officials announced a new gaming hub.
UK Kerching Casino players have been able to enjoy the thrills, spill and amazing prizes on offer across our network of great games, but alas, foreign operators are forbidden by Canadian law from practicing in the country without a gaming licence.
However, regulation does allow the provincial government to set up a hub in the area, and Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation chairman Paul Godfrey commented that the experience will be an enjoyable one for Ontario players. He said:
"Across Canada and around the world, online commerce is part of our everyday lives and OLG is excited to start the consultation process for online gaming and growing its marketplace in the future."
Mr Godfrey added that the 2012 launch is due to officials making sure they do everything they can to make the hub's security and privacy features as strong as possible.
Players in Canada will surely be looking forward to enjoying online slots titles from home when the website opens. However, for the time being they will have to look on in envy at British Kerching players who get to sample the very best games the industry has to offer right now.
