Slot machine's electric shock upsets player

Faulty machine paid out pain instead of coins

It's something that would make Kerching players glad they play at online casinos - a man in South Africa has taken steps to sue a casino in the country after he received an electric shock playing one of its machines. Asogan Naicker, a regular at the venue, was indulging in a slots title when an surge of volts was sent from the machine and through his body on Sunday.

Naicker was playing the game and had just pressed a button when a "big bang" went off and an electric current went through his body. Although he says he feels fine now, he added that he did injure his back.

The casino offered to refund the money accrued on his card and in the machine, but did not pay the overnight hospital bill even though it had been recommended by a doctor. Naicker believes that the casino's refusal to foot the costs, and his being pushed from "pillar to post" in the meantime, put him in danger. Indeed, he thinks that the casino's failure to get him the right treatment quickly enough was cause for a case.

Naicker's attorney has since been in touch with the casino, confirming that they are going forward with a civil claim against it for "medical expenses incurred, future medical expenses and for pain and suffering".

The general manager of the casino has so far declined to comment, although the venue's attorneys have been in touch with Mr Naicker.

At least the only shock you can expect at Kerching online casino is an unexpected bonus win!
