Players get to choose their Monopoly cities

Canadian gamers vote on new place names for the board

The latest version of the popular board game and online slots title Monopoly has been put together with some input from Canadian players. So far, the game has been released in 43 languages across 111 countries, with over 275 million copies sold.

Board game manufacturers Hasbro conducted an online poll asking players in the country which cities should be in the new game. From the 65 pre-selected cities, 22 were picked, including the wildcard Chatham-Kent in Ontario, which gains the coveted Mayfair spot.

Hasbro brand manager Michelle Sinclair hopes that the game provides players with a good cross-section of the country. She said:

"We hope that Canadian Monopoly fans will enjoy playing on a game board that includes an interesting mix of our cities featuring all of the dynamic cultures, sights and history of this country."

Of course, Kerching players with a hankering for those nostalgic London board game squares will feel right at home with Monopoly Pass Go. The game features a streamlined version of the famous board but still includes iconic areas such as Fleet Street, Trafalgar Square and Mayfair.

The nine-payline title gives Kerching members a chance to win up to 25,000 credits if they can match five Wild symbols on a payline. Furthermore, online casino players who gain three Community Chest symbols can pick up a Monopoly slots bonus instantly!
