New study shows increase in the number of potential online casino winners
The number of people participating in remote forms of gaming - which includes those going online to play at online casinos - is higher than ever before, according to new research.
A study by the Gambling Commission found that online casinos and their related forms of internet gaming are now more popular than ever before, with a total of 9.9 per cent of people saying that they had enjoyed some form of online gambling in the past month.
The figure represents an increase of more than one per cent over what it was two years ago, when 8.8 per cent said they had visited an online casino, bingo or betting site.
Moreover, the number of people using their PC or laptop to log on to the internet and play games at online casinos has risen by more than one per cent in the last two years, leaping from 6.9 per cent in 2007 to 8.2 per cent this year.
It is good news for online casino players, who now have greater access to the slots, roulette, blackjack and table games offered by sites such as Kerching Casino. And with more people playing than ever before, the variety of online casino games looks set to increase too.
Kerching recently expanded its range of online casino titles with the addition of new games including Transformers - Ultimate Payback slots and Dungeons & Dragons: Fortress Of Fortunes.
All of Kerching's online slots, roulette, blackjack and other games can be played via a PC or laptop to win big cash prizes.
