Vote to find the best online casino begins
While the most talked-about election in 2008 was probably the one for the US Presidency, another poll is causing a stir in the American electorate. The race to find the best online casino began this month and as voting got underway, the poll is already enthusing people to go online, cast their vote and make their voice heard in the race for the best online casino.
Despite attempts to ban online gambling in the US some casinos are continuing to operate. Polls in the 2009 USA Player’s Online Casino Awards were opened at the beginning of December and while it’s doubtful that online casinos will be courting their electorate in an attempt to walk away with first place, online casinos will be paying close attention to the poll; online casinos have long been in competition with each other in an attempt to attract gamers. It is believed that this is the first poll of its kind, an award designed to reveal which online casino is the most popular.
Allowing US online casino gamers to vote for their favourite online casino, polling runs for three months, with the winner announced on February 3. There are five categories up for grabs including: best casino software, best customer support, best games and tournaments, best bonuses and - probably the most coveted award for gaming websites - best online casino.
While online casinos may not be out holding rallies and kissing babies, the online casino industry is taking the poll quite seriously. Frank Pineiro, one of the men responsible for setting up the poll, commented that he thought online gamers would appreciate the ability to vote for their favourite online casino. He said:
"We hope that gamers will find this a good outlet for their opinions. We look forward to seeing which casinos are ranked as the best."
In order to attract voters to the polls, the online casino website is offering incentives for any player casting their opinion. One lucky voter will win free plane tickets for two to Las Vegas. Much like the 2008 presidential election, a high turnout is expected.
