Revenue increases alongside heavy investment in the online casino industry
Online casino gaming is proving to be good for business worldwide after industry reports of significant growth in 2008.
Popular online casino games such as blackjack, roulette and poker, along with mobile casino games like Rainbow Riches, all of which are available at Kerching.com, have been credited with attracting legions of new fans to online casinos over the past year.
Indeed, one gaming business in the Philippines has seen consolidated net income of their online casino grow 29 per cent over the last year.
Bosses have said the growth is down to its strong online casino presence after opening 45 new gaming cafes last year, bringing their total to 121.
Alongside the online gaming cafes, some of the online casino games are operated from a network of kiosks or internet stations, with a running amount of 149 at the end of December.
Online casino president Dennis Valdes stressed that the ‘key driver of core net income’ continues to be their e-games cafes, each filled with gamers playing online fruit machines, slots and table games.
He said the online casino will use the cash raised through their online casino and internet gaming cafes to accumulate, what they predict to be over $695 million in profits for 2009.
"We will use these funds to aggressively invest in new games... and other opportunities that come our way in 2009."
With investment in online casino gaming set to continue in 2009, it seems the main beneficiaries will be players, who can no doubt look forward to new and improved fruit machines and online casino games.
