Jason Alexander AKA George Costanza asked to represent online poker site around the world
Over the past few years, Hollywood celebrities and poker have made a popular combination, particularly when it comes to online casinos.
An online poker room has announced that Jason Alexander, better known as George Costanza from the hit American sitcom Seinfeld, will join the online casino's roster of celebrity spokespeople.
The popular game of poker can be played in several formats and styles including Three Card Poker – Classic and Texas hold 'em, all featured on online casino Kerching.com.
Alexander will officially be known as 'International Celebrity Ambassador' for the online casino, where he will take part in online and live poker events in the US and around the globe.
A seasoned poker player, Alexander has competed several times in the World Series Of Poker in Las Vegas, and also participated in NBC's made-for-TV poker competition 'Heads-Up Poker.'
Alexander said on his appointment for the online casino: "I am very flattered to be playing for a real quality site and with the kind of professionals that remind me every day how truly mediocre I am at this game. But I'm learning. And now I can learn from some of the best.
Enlisted to promote the online casino and poker alongside Alexander are former sports stars including tennis player Boris Becker, hockey player Mats Sundin and several top baseball players.
A notable amount of celebrities have joined online casinos in ambassadorial roles. It has recently been announced that chat show host Montell Williams will be presenting the International Team Poker League in the US this November.
