One lucky online casino player walked away $20,000 (£13,400) better off after winning a fantastic radio competition - sponsored by Kerching Casino - live on-air.
In conjunction with Kerching Casino, Darren Bridgett, from Stoke-on-Trent, entered the competition on talkSPORT Radio to win an all-expenses paid, four day trip to gaming capital, Las Vegas, featuring $1000 spending money, free accommodation, two tickets to see Manchester boxer Ricky Hatton fight Paulie Malignaggi at the MGM Grand and a $10,000 (£7,000) wager on a single spin on a roulette wheel, courtesy of Kerching Casino.
Darren was one of four lucky contestants drawn for the final after texting his details to talkSPORT Radio and live on air, the four finalists battled it out in a series of quick-fire question and answer rounds.
After winning the competition on talkSPORT Radio and travelling to Las Vegas, Darren’s once-in-a-lifetime roulette spin in a Vegas casino was broadcasted live on air in the United Kingdom. After betting the $10,000 on red, Darren walked away with $20,000 better off after seeing the ball land on red 19.
He said the experience was one of the most exciting of his life and he expressed his gratitude to everyone involved, including Kerching Casino for sponsoring the competition.
He said:
The trip to Las Vegas was fantastic. The hotel was superb, and the fight was brilliant." The spin of the roulette wheel was an experience all of its own and to actually bet $10,000 and walk away with $20,000 was mind-blowing." He continued, "Myself and my wife would just like to thank everybody that was involved in organising the whole competition."
After returning from Las Vegas, Darren said he was hoping to spend his winnings on a fantastic holiday.
