Swansea man sentenced after casino scuffle
It's another incident to make Kerching members happy they play at an online casino! A man has been sentenced to six months in prison after an altercation with a fellow gambler at a casino in Swansea. Stewart Douglas Peel, 46, entered into a dispute with John Plimmer, who was accompanied by his brother James, before headbutting him.
Mr Plimmer and his brother then set upon Peel until casino staff broke up the scuffle. On arrest, Peel confessed to previous assault-related convictions and also revealed he'd drunk seven pints of cider before the incident took place.
Prosecutor Jonathan Coombs outlined the case in court. He said:
"He headbutted John Plimmer and the other Plimmer brother intervened. The Plimmers got rather more abusive in their role towards Mr Peel, who fell to the floor and was kicked by them. Door staff intervened and the parties were separated."
