State finally able to enjoy blackjack, roulette and craps

For some members of Kerching online casino, it may be difficult to imagine a world without the possibility of playing roulette or online blackjack. Sure, there are a number of great online slots titles to enjoy, but sometimes our players want to experience that real-world casino vibe in the privacy of their own home.

Spare a thought, then, for the residents of Pennsylvania in the US. Gambling at casinos in the state has only been legal since 2004 and even then legislation dictated that they could not enjoy the delights of a good table game of roulette or blackjack.

Until now, that is, as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has licensed the right to house the games to eight slots casinos in the state, with two more expected to be given the go-ahead this week. In fact, delivery has already begun, with tables ready and waiting at casinos for a July launch.

According to Bobby Soper, who is president and chief executive of one Pennsylvania casino installing 61 tables, the shipment represents "a hallmark" for casino growth in the state. He said:

"We have a whole new gaming product being introduced ... Now you're going to have individuals who will stay closer to home because you offer both products, and you can recapture those dollars that are leaving every day to places like Atlantic City."

Although the casinos will have to pay a $16.5m licensing fee to use the table games, which will in turn be taxed 16 per cent of gross revenue in the first year of play, Mr Soper believes attendances across the state's casinos will increase by 15 per cent.
