Residents offered free plays in casino charity drive
A casino in the US is offering players a unique opportunity to help out a local charity and experience the fun of their own brand of gaming. Local people who donate a minimum of $5-worth of tinned food to San Jacinto's Soboba Casino on any Monday over the course of June will be given $15-worth of free play at the establishment.
Some online casino fans will no doubt have cupboards full to the brim with tinned food that might never be used, so this is a good way to give back. The tinned food given to the Sobboba Casino is subsequently distributed to various local charities including the Valley Restart, Community Pantry and Our House groups among others.
Casinos giving back
This generous food drive does not represent the first time a casino, or casino winner, has decided to help out local groups, especially after receiving a big win. A 60-year-old man in Korea recently opted to pass his record-breaking national win on to a science organisation.
Ahn Seung-pil managed to scoop £461,238 while playing at Kwangon Land - the only casino in Korea that allows players native to Korea to enter.
Ahn decided to hand over his cheque to the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, claiming his mind was made up after he saw a television advert for the organisation in which a call was made for donations.
