It's an exciting time of year for those who just can't get enough of cheesy European pop music as the Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner.
The big event is just around the corner - May 14th to be exact - and one act sure to be familiar to Kerching Casino players is this year's Irish entrant, Jedward.
John and Edward, as they're known to their friends, garnered both bewilderment and popularity in 2009's X Factor competition with their bubblegum pop antics, and now they're gunning for Eurovision glory. However, manager and X Factor mentor Louis Walsh has underplayed their chances of bagging the top prize for their home country.
The Irish music mastermind would like to see the pair pass through their May 12th semi-final, but doesn't think they rank as favourites. He told The Saturday Night Show on RTE One: "I'm going to be honest. I think they can do well on it. I hope they get through the semi-final."
Ireland has a strong Eurovision tradition, winning multiple times in the 1990s, and one famous Irishman looking to continue that heritage is the Leprechaun mascot from Rainbow Riches Win Big Shindig.
The cheeky scamp told fans on his Twitter account: "After a wee pep talk from me wifey, I have come to the conclusion I can definitely do better than Jedward in Eurovision!"
