Online casino fans tantalised by Sir Ridley Scott revelations

Monopoly slots may be drawing plenty of attention at Kerching online casino right now, but it's by no means alone in bringing the iconic board game to new audiences.

Believe it or not, a Monopoly movie has also been mooted and legendary director Sir Ridley Scott recently revealed that it's a serious project rather than just a distant pipedream. Speaking to film website COMINGSOON, Sir Ridley confirmed that he would direct the as-yet untitled Monopoly movie.

And Monopoly Multiplier fans may be interested to hear that it will be distributed by heavyweight film studio Universal Pictures. But while Monopoly maker Hasbro has signed up to the project, Sir Ridley stressed that the comic screenplay would take a tough look at the real estate market and not merely rehash the board game:

"Many would want to integrate literally the shaking of the dice and the throwing of the dice into the board. I couldn't really get past that. I wanted to just make a movie about the idea of greed. I told them you know your game can turn your sweetest, dearest aunt into a demon - a nightmare of greed. So that's what we're going to do."

So what can we expect from a Monopoly movie?

One idea is that the story would revolve around a loveable loser who works at a real estate firm in Manhattan. He becomes obsessed with the board game and, after playing yet another session with his friends, wakes up to find himself inside Monopoly City and rubbing shoulders with Rich Uncle Pennybags himself. As he gradually finds his feet, the stage is set for our hero to take on the evil Parker Brothers in a Monopoly game to end them all.

Here at Kerching online casino, we're excited to see where Sir Ridley decides to take the Monopoly movie. However, online slots fans will probably have to wait a while to see the finished product - there's no official release date although the rumour mill suggests it could see daylight in 2012.

Thankfully, we don't have to wait anywhere near as long for Monopoly slots. The latest addition to the Kerching online casino catalogue, Monopoly Multiplier, is a three-reel, 27-payline game that will be instantly familiar to fans of the series. Iconic reel symbols such as green houses, red hotels and title deeds pepper the reels, while the fabulous bonus game invites you to choose between eight classic playing pieces including irons, thimbles and battleships.

So while we all wait with baited breath for the Monopoly movie, why not get stuck into Monopoly online slots?
