Annual casino gaming expo hints at great year ahead
Every year, thousands of representatives from the world of online gaming gather at London's Earls Court to attend the International Gaming Expo (IGE), a three-day festival showcasing the very best that the present and future of the industry have to offer.
Dozens of exhibitors fill the expansive arena with stalls showing off their latest and greatest wares, in a event that represents gaming nirvana for any online casino fans.
We were there at this year's event, primarily to support the guys from IGT (UK 2) (who produce Kerching's much-respected range of mobile slots games) but also to check out stands from the likes of WagerWorks and stay up-to-date with all the latest goings-on in the online casino world.
Speaking of WagerWorks, the legendary online gaming software manufacturer had a big presence at the event, with a huge stand that included a 10-foot effigy of the Rainbow Riches leprechaun, along with a massive Dungeons and Dragons graphic which almost did justice to the epic action on offer in the popular slots titles, Fortress of Fortunes and Crystal Caverns.
It wasn't just the static displays that impressed at IGE, though; there were live demonstrations of online casino favourites including Treasures of Troy, Dungeons and Dragons slots and the brand new Monty's Millions game, which is already racking up fans - and casino cash wins - at Kerching.
The overriding feeling from the event was that the gaming industry is in good health despite any challenges it may have faced last year. Gamers will be pleased to hear that new titles, and ever more generous pay tables, are high on the agenda for many of the top online developers, meaning 2010 should shape up to be one of the best years ever for online casino gaming.
Rest assured, you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of IGE at Kerching Casino over the coming months.
