The classic US game show is set to put a computer up against two of its most successful contestants.
Popular game show Jeopardy! has been running in America since 1964 and has expanded all over the globe into one of the most successful game shows of all time. It's unique approach sees contestants given the answers first, to which they then have to provide the correct question. Its popularity has seen it endure decades of fans and branch out into other areas, like our own Jeopardy! online slots game.
A special Jeopardy! show is being recorded where two of the how most successful contestants will battle it out against a specially designed computer. The two contestants chosen to test the mettle of this special computer are Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter. Jennings holds the title of taking the game show's longest running streak, with 74 consecutive games won in 2004. Rutter hold the record of the most money won on Jeopardy! - a total of nearly $3.3 million (£2.2 million) earned over four appearances. The winner of the game will get a $1 million (£647,000) prize; the makers of the computer, IBM, have vowed to donate it to charity, should their machine triumph.
