The classic game of blackjack with an exciting twist.

To kick off a new regular feature on our casino blog, this week we're taking a close look at one of our top casino games, 21+3 Blackjack. We'll talk about the game itself, what's involved, how you play and of course what you can win!

Blackjack is one of the world's most popular casino card games; it's also one of the simplest. You play against the dealer and are initially given two cards. The aim is to get to 21. If you are lucky enough that your first two cards equal 21, then that's it - you win! If not, you get the choice of Hit or Stand. Hit and you get another card to help your way to 21. Go over 21 and you're bust and out of the game. When you've got to 21, or as close as you dare, you Stand and wait to see what cards the dealer has.

In its classic form, as above, blackjack is a highly entertaining and rewarding card game. Originally played on the green cloth of casino tables, with cigar smoke and vodka martinis for company (if you're anything like James Bond at least!), blackjack has made its way to the world of online casinos spectacularly - the graphics really make you feel like you're playing in a casino but from the comfort of your own home! online blackjack also offers the opportunity for any number of variations of the game and that's exactly what's happened with 21+3 Blackjack.

Not only do you get the thrill of the classic game of blackjack, pitting yourself and your two cards against the dealer, aiming for the magical 21, there's also a three card poker hand to play. That's the '3' in the title, if you hadn't guessed! If you choose to bet on the three cards, your first two cards and the dealer's first one are treated as a poker hand, with payouts for all the classic poker combinations. Payouts are made for:

Suited Three of a Kind: Three cards with the same rank, all of the same suit (e.g. three eights or three kings of the same suit).

Straight Flush: Three cards of consecutive rank, all of the same suit (e.g. 6-7-8 of Hearts).

Three of a Kind: Three cards with the same rank of mixed suits.

Straight: Three cards of consecutive rank of mixed suits. Ace can be high (as in Q-K-A) or low (as in A-2-3).

Flush: Three cards of the same suit.

21+3 Blackjack is a great twist on the classic blackjack format, effectively giving you two games in one - and two chances to win! There are loads of online blackjack games available at Kerching so why not come along and give them a try!
