£100 million super casino planned for UK city
Those of you who have been to Hull might not immediately think of it as being like Las Vegas. The iconic American city is known for its extravagant hotels and casinos, show girls, neon lights, attracting huge names from the world of show businesses and being an international destination for those wishing to party and indulge. Hull, on the other hand, on the windswept north east coast of England, is largely known for having cream telephone boxes.
This is all set to change, however, if plans for a £100 million casino development in Hull go ahead. The proposed site, sitting on the riverside, will accommodate a 53,000 square foot casino space, as well as accommodation for 590 students, a 185-bed courtyard hotel and four restaurants. Developers claim that it will employ 1,000 people and attract visitors from overseas.
One of only eight such 'super casinos' to be granted a license in the UK, the Hull development would be a massive boost for the city, bringing the opportunity for residents and visitors to play a whole range of casino games, including slots, blackjack, poker and roulette. The building itself, a 23 storey skyscraper, would be the city's tallest ever building.
Compared with the huge hotel and casino complexes of Las Vegas, however, Hull would still have some way to go to fully emulate the American city, famed for attracting high rollers to its slot machines and gaming tables. Here at Kerching Casino we bring you a taste of Las Vegas, and now Hull, with a range of classic online slots games and our Kerching Casino table games.
